Top Ten Young Adult Books to Dress Up As

Hello and happy Top Ten Tuesday, everyone! This weekโ€™s theme is a Halloween freebie, and I struggled about this topic for the longest time becauseโ€ฆ pssst, I actually donโ€™t care about Halloween. ๐ŸŽƒ

I grew up in Indonesia, where Halloween wasnโ€™t even a thing, and I also get spooked super easily whenever I read or watch something remotely scary! Iโ€™m the type of person who literally has to avert my eyes whenever animated ghosts come up on screen because several hours later Iโ€™ll be lying in bed, unable to sleep, thinking about them โ€” yes, Iโ€™m that bad.

For todayโ€™s Top Ten Tuesday, I decided to take it easy a little and revisit some of my favourite book looks. If youโ€™re new to my blog, itโ€™s basically a feature where I take a book cover and put together an outfit that looks like it. So! In order of price from low to high, here we go.ย ๐Ÿ’ธ

  1. I think the outfit for Ivory and Bone might be my favorite, but I love the ones for A Shadow Bright and Burning and Rebel of the Sands as well.
This is such a cool take on the topic! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I love that dress you picked for Truthwitch and I’m still wishing for the bracelet you used for the Our Chemical Hearts ones. I need to find a bracelet like that haha. I love your take of this week’s topic. Great post, Reg! ๐Ÿ˜Š

  3. Interesting choice of topic! ๐Ÿ˜€ YES to not caring about Halloween! I feel like I’m the only one who don’t celebrate it in this community and I felt a little left out ๐Ÿ˜› speaking of horror, if you grew up here then you must remember Susana and all her horror movies like kuntilanak and sundel bolong, right? I think local horrors are a million times scarier than western horrors. I blame them for making me like this hahaha anyway, these are all so pretty! โค Ivory and Bone looks so glamorous but the book look of Scarlett Epstein Hates It Here is definitely my kind of style. Perfect for a sweater weather! โค

    • Thanks so much! OMG, Indonesian ghosts are so much scarier… well, ghosts in general are really, really scary for me. I have to confess that I’ve never watched any Indo horror movies, though. ๐Ÿ˜›

And thank you so much! I’ve a soft spot for these looks, especially the Ivory and Bone one. ๐Ÿ’•

  4. Oh my gosh, I love your take on this week’s TTT! Dream outfit shopping is the best, and I adore the outfit you’ve put together for Our Chemical Hearts, it’s exactly something I would wear in real life (except with cheaper brands because I don’t have the $$ *sobbing*)

  5. I seriously want all of these outfits. Wow, you’re REALLY good at putting them together! (And then I look at the prices and cry hahaha). Like that dress that matches with Rebel of the Sands? GORGEOUS

  6. This reminds me so much of Disneybound and I absolutely love everything about this list! My favourite would have to be Ivory and Bone, since that is exactly my how my fashion sense is lol.
